The Galleria

Always a good hang out spot. The places around it make for good times (Kona Grill’s Happy Hours, Cheescake Factory’s ambiance). There are always shopping deals in the variety of clothing stores within this “luxory” mall.

By the way, on the HOT summer Houston days… It makes for a good pit stop or time killing place…

we used to go ice skating when I was in elementary school. it is chock full of cool Texas oil boom-fueled consumer nostalgia for me.

I went I absolutely LOVED the Galleria, unfortunately it was also the deciding factor that Huston wasn’t the place for me. However, the mall still ranks as on of the best luxury malls in the country.

too expensive and too big, but it’s worth it to try on clothes you’ll never be able to afford and emailing them to people who were mean to you in high school. ‘look at me, i’m super rich and awesome looking now and you suck and work at walmart and have 3 kids…hahahahahahaha’

Go at Christmas…its packed, but the tree is beautiful and its one of the few places in Houston where you can ice skate…and imagine you are having a real winter.

The first time I went to this place I was really young.I love it the very first time.My best place to hang out,and relax from the loud mall was the park outside.I have so many memories in this place!And I am sure I am not the only one.

My brother used to have hockey practice here in the morning before the stores opened. My parents and I would watch until La Madeleine opened, then have breakfast while watching the kids practice.
And every Christmas for years the Polish Eagle Dancers would congregate here to have our annual skate – for most of us, it was the only time we went ice skating all year.

If you live in Houston and have nothing else to do, you can kill some time here. There were a few stores that I liked in high school that I couldn’t find elsewhere and the candy shop is pretty good. They’ve expanded the place since I was living there and now there is a giant crazy fountain.

Real swanky mall with a skating rink…in Houston its a must-see!

...if you’re in middle school. Or incredibly rich.
