I didn't know where it was
but when I went to visit Pike’s Place, saw the starbucks in a primo spot, saw how the number of letters perfectly fit the number of windows at the top, I thought, this is probably the first one, and behold, indeed it was. So we bought a coffee. Sure, why not!

Pretty cool
Well, it’s not much different than most Starbucks places. But the live bands in front of it are pretty cool. If you’re a coffee aficionado, go ahead and buy yourself a coffee mug there. :)

Where it all began
These days there are Starbucks and other coffee chains everywhere, but I still remember the days when it was a real novelty to visit one and while away the afternoon in an armchair.
I didn’t go inside as it looked pretty busy, but I did take a photo of the sign outside. It was interesting to see how the original logo differs from the current one.

I visited this place last night!
So I can officially say I’ve been there :-)
They had the original logo… but the coffee tastes the same!

Nothing special
I enjoy Starbucks. But visiting this location seemed like visiting any other Starbucks location. Except you can still see the original logo where the mermaid has bare breasts, there are no chairs. That’s about it. So don’t set your expectations high, and you’ll enjoy saying you’ve been to the original.
