The Original Starbucks Location

points to her username. That’s a pretty strong hint right? This is a picture of my most recent visit, when I had two friends visit me from Canada last summer.

Not only is it the first starbucks, but it’s unlike any other.

If you’re going the best time is early in the morning when it’s quiet. The staff were really friendly and chatty, the coffee was really good and there were loads of interesting people (like the gaggle of chinese nuns).

but when I went to visit Pike’s Place, saw the starbucks in a primo spot, saw how the number of letters perfectly fit the number of windows at the top, I thought, this is probably the first one, and behold, indeed it was. So we bought a coffee. Sure, why not!

Well, it’s not much different than most Starbucks places. But the live bands in front of it are pretty cool. If you’re a coffee aficionado, go ahead and buy yourself a coffee mug there. :)

These days there are Starbucks and other coffee chains everywhere, but I still remember the days when it was a real novelty to visit one and while away the afternoon in an armchair.

I didn’t go inside as it looked pretty busy, but I did take a photo of the sign outside. It was interesting to see how the original logo differs from the current one.
