Botanical Gardens

this place is great! Miles of trails and walkways through some beautiful landscaping! Some woods, a brook, gardens (of course), sculptures, and a unique gift shop. Wonderful place if you enjoy photography in any of it’s forms (they even offer classes!). We spent 4 hours wandering and only saw half of the gardens. And it’s free!

This is my favorite place in Birmingham, and is probably the only place I really miss.
I used to run around there as a kid when it was empty in the evenings, lost in my own imagination and in the joy of its gardens. It’s an absolutely beautiful place.
