in Lake Simcoe. All watersports are easy to do here. The waterfront path for walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers is so nice.

Home of Live8 Canada. Almost Toronto, but not quite and almost cottage country, but not quite. It’s the best of both as long as you have transportation. There’s nothing to do in Barrie if you live there, but it’s great to visit, especially if you like the outdoors in any of the 4 seasons. You can ski less than 30 minutes away in any direction, camp, shop, swim, or eat.

I just wish there was a good Italian food restaurant.
