Samil Beach

What Bondai is to Sydney and Copacabana is to Rio Samil is to Vigo!
Just outside the city it provides an accessible beach,especially for families,for those who haven’t the time or means to reach beaches along the coast.In English,it’s bloody crowded in summer,there’s a surprise.
Originally,30 years ago, it was unspoilt dunes,which were bulldozed to provide a walk,swimming pools,bars and sports facilities.You wouldn’t do that today of course,in Spain you’d build illegal flats,and the council would like to remove what was built and recuperate the dunes.Seems like pie in the sky to me.
Water quality could be worse but maybe I wouldn’t swim at the sewage treatment end near the tennis courts.
