Worth visiting!

Buxton is a great town. It’s hidden in a natural bowl set into moorland and is fed by an ancient spring which always runs at 28 degrees. The architecture is particularly grand. The town boasts a fantastic Opera House and Pavillion which are surrounded by landscaped gardens. There is also a Crescent in the style of Bath, which is currently being renovated.

I spent about 5 nights here in a cottage with my family. It was a really lovely place. Beautiful countryside, everyone was so friendly. We even found some decent food, in ENGLAND!!!

Worth visiting!

It’s a great place. It’s the hub of the Peak District. It’s kind of a small town, but it’s in a beautiful setting. We drove up from the Manchester area. We went over some high passes, stopped to eat at a pub which was billed as “the highest pub in England.” It was called the Cat and Fiddle.
The wind blew constantly. It was GREAT!

Worth visiting!

I finally went there after weeks of my girlfriend badgering me. It would have been better if it wasn’t chucking it down constantly, haha. It’s really, really small, though, which weirded me out, because I live in Leicester which is quite a large industrial city. Loads of hills, if you’re into walking aimlessly which, I’m afraid to say, I’m not =P
