Vondelpark

I can’t think of visiting Amsterdam without venturing into Vondelpark at least once! If you manage to catch a gorgeous day, this place is especially wonderful – you can spend hours just lazing around, and if you get bored, just venture further in, because this park is huge! You won’t run out of space!

The park is gorgeous and relaxing, and full of interesting characters. One guy selling ice cream would yell out ‘HULLLOOOOOO’ periodically, almost like it was a tic, and a guy in a retro suit sat down next to me while his friend took 800 photos of him and he asked me what the big deal about sudoku was.

ride a bike! its a great way to wander the park, in fact to wander the whole city!!!

If you’re in Amsterdam and you’re looking for some down time, go to Vondelpark. It’s beautiful and definitely worth your time. On Queens Day people gather in Vondelpark to sell things, play instruments, smoke and just relax. It’s a great atmosphere and I highly recommend checking it out!
