Slytherin Common Room

Been here in my mind anyway, while reading the books

I think it would be funny…

Go here and scroll down to the first picture. Pretty darn close to the Slytherin Common Room in my head—they did a great job with that set, too bad we don’t see more of it in the films. However, personally, I like to mix in a bit more black and one Severus Snape’s redecorating as detailed by Vindictus Viridian in the fabulous fanfiction which you can find here. (Please note this story is rated “R” though the chapter this links to is “safe” for all audiences.)

And all good girls like bad boys, etc. Of course, I realize I will never get that delayed invitation to join a wizarding community. But it’s fun to imagine and fantasize.

Frankly, I don’t even like the Harry Potter series very much. I object greatly to adults who view the books as anything other than nice childrens literature. But I do commend Rowling on her story-telling skills, because whatever else she may lack, she does tell one mean story. She makes it come alive, which is an amazing talent I wish I had. =)

But anyway, if I was at Hogwarts, I’d love to run to the Slytherin side. They seem so much darker and interesting that the one-sided good guys.
