Milford Sound

What a nature, what a country, i love it, so pure…

I went with my family. It’s quite expensive but worth it. One of the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen.

It’s a long drive in and out so if you don’t have much time in NZ I’d probably give it a miss.

If you can afford it, I would take a bus (coach) on the way to Milford Sound and then fly back. There is so much to see on the way to the Sound that you miss when you fly.

I did the 3 day overland treck through milford, and let me say, the scenery is awing, it’s gotta be one of the most beatiful places and it’s so well maintained. definitely a must do!!

Amazing and stupifying place!

I took a ferry around the sound with my parents and sister, it was absolutely beautiful. Like all of the other tourists on the boat we were ooohing and ahhhing at the georgeous scenery when my sister and I were approached by a pair of Japanese tourists. They liked my T-shirt so they asked if they could have a picture with us. I think they thought we were locals and wanted to get a picture of New Zealanders in New Zealand, but we were so confused we didn’t think to set them straight.

I went to New Zealand when I was very young, and remember very little, however becuase of that strange encounter I remember Milford Sound better than any other place I visited in that country.

If you go here in summer, insect repellent is a MUST. Seriously.

Beautiful place. Absolutely. :D

It takes half a day to get there (unless you’re made of money and can afford the plane/helicopter trip) and you are at the mercy of the weather, it is absolutely worth it.
