Klamath Falls

I stayed with an awesome CouchSurfing host who showed me around town, drove me out to views of Mt. Shasta and took me to a sweat lodge at Steward Mineral Springs. It was a gorgeous place, a great experience and was all around worth doing!

This is a nice small town in Oregon. Running Y Ranch is a very nice place to visit in summer or winter, ice skating, golf, nice lodge. Crater Lake is amazing I recommend seeing that whether you stop in Klamath Falls or not. We have a few good museums in town too and you take a tour on the trolley (now a bus that looks like the trolley) Most interests revolve around outdoors and wildlife in this area. There are wetlands all over for bird lovers and good hunting and fishing. Its just a cute small town.

Klamath Falls the town is not worth much of an extended stay, but I have a bone to pick with all you snobs who so readily hate on it. I grew up there and will offer that it’s a great base for hiking, fishing, birding, caving, and all kinds of outdoor activities. It so obviously isn’t an urban paradise, it’s not worth picking on for that reason.

A depressing little city in the middle of nowhere, full of chain restaurants, cheap motels, and gloomy people. I want those two days of my life back.
