Champaign

It was great the first 3 years but now I’m out of things to do and I just want to get out. It’s ok to visit this place and I’m sure it’s a nice place to raise a family but if you want non-stop excitement, don’t expect it from here.

I fucking live in Champaign, Illinois on the University of Illinois campus and it is fucking awesome. I don’t care.

When the sky cracks and the burning beacon in the sky known as the sun sheds her light on the Paign…let me tell you it is a beautiful beautiful sight rivaling anywhere else I’ve been in my life.

Fighting Illini, WPGU 107.1, The Quad, lovely girls, Champaign Central High School! whooo hooo!, Edison, Dr. Howard, Westview, Parkland, The ribeye steakhouse, dos reales, the old wendys, smoking bans, mcdonalds on Neil St., Morrissey Park, Green St., Super K Mart, Assembly Hall, canopy club, Kam’s, murphy’s, white horse, blind pig, dallas and co., Hessel Blvd., my family, white sox fans cubs fans cards fans all in the stew, shitty police, parties, sex, marijuana, EbertFest at the Virginia Theater, Illini Union, the Williamsons, the Buerketts, the Lietzes, the Sitches, the Bloomers, the Crawfords, the Nizzis, the Careys, the Dyes, the Elliots, the Morgans, the Wleklinskis, the Sholems, the Simons, the Oliphants, the Aquinos, the Vimrs, the Fleeners, the Yamberts, the Davises, the Hopkins, the Lemans, the Armstrongs, the Fredericks and the Fredericks, the Hagles, the Mooneys, the Kyrouacs (oh my gawd!) have all CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER! been here for about 12 years now. not a bad little town. not much to do. but you can get anywhere you need in 15 minutes. gota love downtown champaign the best. great bars and food.

I’ve grown up there and it’s awesome. It’s got the benefits of a small town but also has the University of Illinois there which makes it exciting too. There are TONS of great restauraunts. And of course Chicago isn’t far away!

The best place to dance is C-Street. The best place to get lost is just outside of Urbana on the north-easterly side of Vine St.
