Rota

I have actually “been ” here before but it was when I was born adn I tarveled back to the United States with my mother when I was 6 weeks old! My Father was in the Navy in 1973 and was stationed on the naval base in Rota, Spain. I Long to see where I was born and how beautiful it is. I have heard stories and seen pictures, but I still want to see it and remember it tthis time :) I ahev a beautfiul birth certificate in Spanish from Rota as well. Very cool!

I served on A United States Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine, USS George C. Marshall SSBN 654 (G) My Boat made Deterrent Submarine Patrols from the Rota Naval Base. Last time I was there was 1976… I was 20.

Rota is beautiful; the weather is great. Stay away from the touristy places and hang with locals. I don’t drink alcohol anymore, but I remember that the sangria is out of this world… don’t miss live flamenco shows…

One of the European’s Best Kept Secrets… Many Europeans travel to this small town for their fun-n-sun! Great area, wonderful people, an awesome experience! I lived in the area for 2 years (99-01). The Flamenco dance is astonishing!

I loved living in Rota. Its beautiful, charming and relaxing.
