Universal Studios Japan

80% of the rides are the same as Universal Studios in California and Orlando.

I studied in Japan a couple of years ago, near Kyoto. One weekend my friends and I had planned a trip to Tokyo, but one wasn’t feeling well, so we went to Universal Studios instead.

I know, I could go to Universal Studios in the U.S., but dude, I loved this place. The Jurassic Park ride was one of the greatest gifts the Japanese people have given me. Also, Backdraft? Worthwhile.

The Japanese people there didn’t scream much. There aren’t many times I want to be “THAT American,” but I felt it acceptable to be THAT American at a theme park, and I screamed my little heart out whenever I felt like doing so.

this was my first trip to any universal studio…I don’t speak Japanese, but of course, all the rides were translated in japanese. Fortunately my then boyfriend had been to the ones in america so many times he knew all the stories in intros. it was funny watching arnold schwartzinator tlak in japanese.

This is the worth visiting theme. i love the back to the future ride….awesome…

i managed to coaxed my boyfriend into putting a day aside for universal studios during our trip early this year. its surprisingly small but the jam-packed rides at break neck speed makes it all worthwhile! all the good stuff is here and the strategically placed souvenir stores makes it hard to resist those special stuff after the rides! food is super special too! themed according to the rides as well! all was great except the tired boyfriend and the lack of time to get the delicious chocolate biscuits and clothes and toys…

all in all good fun for a day. Loved the Jurassic Park ride!
