Worth visiting!
I'm here right now!
My cousin lives here and I’m staying with him. It’s pretty convenient for getting in from heathrow and not too far into London either. Today I walked along a pretty canal, where I saw the world’s largest slug (or the largest I’ve seen), then saw England’s oldest Mosque, then ate at a mafia owned restaurant (or so I’m told). This is also famous for H.G. Wells of War of the Worlds fame.

The last time I went to this place
I worked in Woking for about a week. It wasn’t bad, but I probably would have never paid much attention to it otherwise. Surrey is an interesting place, and if you are into old buildings, there are some great places just outside of town. The names slip my mind.
There are some pretty good places to eat and explore.

...if anyone has any tips on renting flats in Woking (I’ve always owned to this point, never rented) I’d greatly appreciate them.

Woking Life
I’ve just accepted a job in Woking, and will shortly be relocating there. I’ve spent about an hour in the town centre so I’ve got an idea of what’s there in terms of shops and chains I recognise. I’m a young, attached professional who lives on her own, and want to get an idea of the place before I’m fully immersed there. What’s in Woking that I should know about? Which restaurants are worth visiting? What sort of state is the cinema in? How often do you get something good (a good comedian, for example – I noticed Jimmy Carr appearing in October) at the theatre? Is there anywhere particularly dodgy I should be sure to avoid?
Any useful info you can toss my way would be greatly appreciated!
