Why I recommend this place to visitors
Each year in August, Cowes hosts the world’s longest running regatta. Hundreds of boats of all classes compete and it’s a wonderful sight to see the Solent (the stretch of water between the Isle of Wight and the mainland) filled with colourful sails.
