Have been many times from my home island of Guernsey and recommend it for a relaxing break – with family or without.

A tiny island (although not as small as Sark) a mile or so from Guernsey, with a fantastic guest house, holiday cottages, a camp site on top of the hill, a bar, a restaurant and no motorised vehicles apart from a few quads and tractors. Beautiful beaches and shoreline, and great for short walks (as if you walk much longer you fall off).
