I got here every year for SPX (The Small Press Expo). Good times had with fellow cartoonists, and the weather is always perfect in October.

I don’t know if I would say it’s a tourist destination by any means, but it’s a nice place (although expensive) to work or live. over 4 years agoFor those who are rich. by somethingsvenskIf you go to Bethesda, make sure you’ve gone to the ATM first. There isn’t much good cheap fun, but there are a lot of great restaurants. Untitled by ilovetulipsAs others have mentioned, there are many great restaurants. The Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema is a good place to check out independent films. You can also pick up the Crescent Trail near the Honda dealership across from the Barnes and Noble book store. If you work in the area, there are great places for happy hour. The Bethesda library on Arlington is decent. The nightlife, in general, is non existant, unless you are hungry and want to have a few drinks. over 5 years agoUntitled by QueenWithoutACrownI’m not really sure why anyone would come here other than to visit family, or because they live in the area… but I’m from the area, good places to eat and they have a good independent film theatre. over 5 years agoSee all 10 entries |
