Mexican Hat

Mexican hat is a pretty enough place and an ok place to stop on the way to monument valley but its pretty much a wide spot in the road there is nothing really there and only one thing of intrest. The Mexican Hat its interesting but really after you look at it for a few minutes its time to get back in the car and head on down the road.

I can’t believe it happened but I spent a week in Mexican Hat in early spring a few years ago and it was beautiful. From the goosenecks to the valley of the gods—we experienced them pretty much alone (no tourists could be seen) and it was a terrific experience.

this was where i first saw the milky way eclips ever in my life. they have a funky bridge too.
