Worth visiting!
If you plan to visit La Gomera, here are a few tips:
When you’re staying for about a week or less, i would suggest renting a car for a few days to get a good look of the island. Perhaps you’re best off staying in Valle Gran Rey as it’s a central point considering things to do. Great restaurants in Vueltas, that’s where we stayed, with reasonable prices. Our favourite one was Habibi. Another great place to visit is the tropical fruitgarden up in the mountains from playa de Argaga.
We stayed there for a week, but i imagine if you’re planning to be there a little/a lot longer, you’d could stay at a more remote place, just make sure shops are nearby, since the distances and differences in height between villages can be quite deceiving.
Most important advice: time does not exist on the island, the key word is ‘tempo gomero’. I had the best holiday in ages there.
