A tip I have about this place  — 6 days ago

    Worth visiting!

I have been many times to Lanzarote already. The scenery is just to special and the island has a special place in my heart. I try to return every year :)

I have often been on organized tours with the travel agent I go with, but last time I went, I joined another group. I honestly don’t remember the name anymore, but it was mainly for German tourists. I myself speak Flemish, English and a bit of French, but no German. But Flemish and German have the same origin, so luckily I was able to understand almost everything.

Either way, this group visited the cactus garden of Manrique, a small pitoresque village, amazing nature scenes and the pre-park of Timanfaya. Especially the pre-park is amazing. In Timanfaya you are not allowed outside of tour busses, but this is not so in the pre-park. We walked over the lavastones and inside the crater of an old volcano, saw craters from up close and all. It really is a tip of mine to try and find a tour which visits this pre-park and walks with you between the volcanoes.

If you can not understand a bit of German, it might be a problem. But maybe there are other tours doing the same in another language.

ive been three times to lanzarote all three staying in Puerto Dell Carmen! ive only ever been over christmas and new year so it is my goal to go this summer. Its been about 4 years since i last when so im looking forward to see how it has changed if at all! this is one of my all time favourite places in teh whole world and is definatley worth visiting! if you ever go the timanfya nationpark is a must there is a BBQ over a volcano (not as daring as it seems, but still cool) and is pretty amazing!

    Not worth it!

I went to Costa Teguise a couple of summers ago and had a great time, I’d definitely recommend Lanzarote for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday break in the sun!

i loved my visit to lanzarote. It is incredibly hot and dry but its also very beautiful. We went to the capital (?) city and there was the most gorgeous beach there, cool turquoise waters and golden sands.paradise lol. Theres a load of cool old volcanoes there too.

I’ve only been to Lanzarote once, and I’m dying to go back. The island was beautiful, and the seas surrounding it were to die for. I want to visit it again and again, this the place I want to retire to.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

It’s really beautiful and interesting there. There’s some artist who built a whole apartment into an ancient vulcano.

10 times to Lanzarote  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I have been about 10 times to lanzarote and I still love it. Every year I discover something new. Not always big, but a local restaurant or a beautiful view… I stay in Puerto Del Carmen which is very touristic, but then again has all the facilities for a beach holiday and some evening fun.

DO NOT GO TO Playa Blanca!!! That is a completely new place build up out of hotels and nothing else. Not fun.
