Parliament Hill

I went here for the first time to celebrate 420.
It was an amazing experience and sense of community.
Everyone should try it!

The best is the library hidden behind the center building. Go around back to see it.

The only part of Ottawa I can stand. The light show I saw while there was fantastic to say the least.

the last time I went to the parliament buildings was in grade six or seven when I got to meet a few members of the senate. The last time I drove by the parliament buildings was last month.

This spot is a must-see for any tourist visiting our nation’s capital, Ottawa. One can take a tour of parliament, including the House Of Commons, the Senate, the Parliamentary Library and even travel up an elevator to the top of the Peace Tower to view the City, Ottawa River and Gatineau, from all four sides. Beautiful scenic location. From the Peace Tower, one can also get a good look at the Chateau Laurier, which is an upscale hotel done in the style of a French chateau.

I’ve been inside the Parliament house… I’ve even been in the House of Commons. And no, not the viewing area, the actual floor. Of course, I wasn’t surrounded by MP’s.

Went there during the Forum for Young Canadians – nice event to attend, although a little thin at times.

The grounds are surprisingly welcoming and open, considering the gravity of the government machinations within. Be sure to look out for the cat sanctuary.

Heart of downtown Ottawa

Not really sure how many times I’ve been to the Hill. I’ve only been there once when there wasn’t a protest for or against something on the grass.

Go see Question Period. It’s well worth it.
