Well i was in leh during the summers of ‘06. Getting a bike on rent is pretty easy. I was alone and wanted to goto pangong lake alone on bike though localities never like this idea.

But as i was very fascinated by the idea of "I sudn’t be alive" a series running on discovery channel. So i rented a bike and started my journey during noon and the only thing i was wishing is breaking down of bike. Well, and my bike didn’t disappointed me and it started showing probs with the gear box half way wen i reach at the top. At that point i can cm back easily but i opted for the hard way and kept going reached my destination by the evening i.e. paggong lake. The place is like heaven, i spend my night with the army men there though they were not allowed to have civilians for the night stay but i smhow b able convince them as my bike is in no mood for going back. So i was one of the very few tourists who spent their night at pangong place. Next day, i stated draging my bike back to leh city and it was very tiring thing to do but it was the very thing i was wishing for so no complains.

Enjoyed my visit there, i wish i also had got a flat tire too as there is no mechanics.

To me its the best place i ever been too.
