Worth visiting!
Again, just once...
It’s like “South of the Border” in that you should go, just once. It’s located in a strip mall, partially housed in what may have been a Taco Bell.

Why I recommend this place to visitors
The Liberace Museum reminds me of all those small town museums, it just happens that the local-boy-done-good is addicted to rhinestones and chandeliers. This isn’t a slick museum, but the handful of his costumes, cars and pianos that they have on display is worth seeing. The volunteers are diehards and can tell you quite a bit about the pieces if you get them started. The piano collection is actually interesting on its own - he collected old and odd pianos, including one that has a harp rising out of it. All of the proceeds go to art scholarships awarded by the charity that he founded. The cafe is also cheap and good - my cookie was only a buck!

The Man Has His Own Luminosity
Okay, the two times I have been to Vegas I missed this museum. A female friends wedding is in Vegas in August (that should be quite a spectacle in itself), so I am going to the museum even if it turns me gay!!!

Not worth visiting!
Elegant in a few ways, awful in a few
We payed way too much to get in. Then we found out the museum was split between two locations and you had to cross the parking lot to get to the gift shop. We liked that. The elderly couple working the ticket booth were nice. We also liked the part where they told us NOT to take ANY pictures, well maybe just one.

Off the beaten path but worth the trek
This isn’t on the strip. It’s more in a strip-mall. But, it’s worth seeing the splendor that was Liberace.
Worth the price of admission was overhearing a woman in her 70’s exclaim, “Do you mean Liberace was gay?”
