... I was born and raised in Lauterbrunnen :) Its a beautiful place also known as Valley of Waterfalls. You’ve probably seen pieces of it in James Bond’s “On her Majestie’s Secret Service”, or read about the area in a Sherlock Holmes Novel :)

been here back in the year 1985 :) I was a kid back then and stayed in Jura a small town on the French borders.
We used to go on foot to a town nearby called Ballaigue ( i am not sure of the spelling of the name )
In my opinion Jura is the calmest place ever ….lovely greenery ….just make sure not to step on long grass or else cows will refuse to graze.
Best cheese there … many small cheese making places. yum yum

Stay in a place with a washing machine. The laundry matt is expensive. One of the most beautiful places on this earth. Take good walking boots.

Check out Camping Jungfrau, which is the most organized and cleanest campground I’ve been to. There are trailers and rooms available for those without gear. It’s under a huge waterfall and the fact that we’re deep between mountains is unbelievable. What a beautiful area!

We parked our rented Volkswagon Beetle at Lauterbrunnen, then took the train to reach Jungfrau.

    Absolutely beautiful place.

Don’t forget your hiking boots and your camera! It’s fantastic! For a real treat, go all the way to the end and catch the tram to take you up to Gimmelwald. It’s a trek, but you will feel like you’ve walked into another time!

Fantastic place to visit. Quaint little train takes you out there from Interlaken, and you can just hit the road to walk through the valley. Lots of waterfalls all along the valley, and there’s place where you can walk through caves (freezing cold!) and see more waterfalls (I don’t recall the name of that place, but I’m sure the tourist info desk can tell you).
