Came here for a wedding... by Jeff Hester

and had a great time. Those Maryland folk sure do love their crab cakes… and now I do, too! Coming from California, it was a treat to see so much lush greenery AND waterfront that hasn’t been 100% developed.

The town is old, quaint and small, and easy to walk around (if it’s not too humid).

A Long Journey "HOME" by Pixie

I was able to take my Dad back to visit here when he traveled up to visit me while I was living in the D.C. area. He had lived in Havre De Grace as a young boy when his Dad was in the military. We were able to actually find the house he had lived in — and, it had not changed in 50 years! The current residents (renters, still) allowed us to take lots of photos. They are prized possessions for my Dad. He phoned his brother in CO on my cell right after seeing the house and they talked about it for such a long time — the memories were very special for him, and I’m glad I was able to take him back again.

I was at Fort Meade so went up on a Saturday to see the adorable little lighthouse there. Walking around the area was really nice, and I was lucky enough that there was a seafood festival going on.
