Why I want to go to this place  — 7 months ago

I saw photos online and was just astounded at the beauty of this place…

The photos that I have seen from Krka look like you can go in the water?

Croatia > North Dalmatia > Skradin > Krka (Cherca) Nacionalni Park

I’ve been wanting to go to croatia, but this is just an extra push!

Why I want to go to this place  — 1 year ago

I have been interested in lake districts for a longer while.
Water is an enigma, its form, its color, its movement.
I would love to see Bled, very much.
    And Plitvice, very, very much.
    Sixteen lakes, waterfalls, trails.
    Water falling, flowing.
Sometimes, when it rains here, in north, behind my windows,
it feels as if there would be a silent river in the clouds,
    with a gentle waterfall.
I have never been surrounded by water in such majestic forms
    as in Plitvice, though.
I hope i can find some little hungry ducks to feed there.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

This is the place to come if you are a nature lover and a water lover. Basically, water, water everywhere. Dripping, dropping, flowing, falling, still, fast and it is clear and the lakes a beautiful turquoise. A great place to recharge the soul if you can get away from the crowd. There are kilometers of trails and boardwalks so you can try.

It is also a great place for photography. People are friendly too. Check out a fuller description at http://lonegreysquirrel.blogspot.com/2006/10/squirrelssecret-spots-no1-pltvice-lakes.html

The first time I went to this place  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I went there when I was pretty young, back in 1972.

I was awestruck by the beauty of Plitvice. The beautiful clear water, and the sheer number of waterfalls was unbelievable. I still think about it all of these years later.

A tip I have about this place  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

It’s crowded. It’s always crowded. That doesn’t mean that you should not go there. Just prepare yourself for crowds. Earlier in the day is the best. Lunch at the outdoor restaurant is a bit pricey but, quite surprisingly, very good food of the roast variety.
