Saint John

Saint John is great, my friends feel that the city is boring and wish to move out west.. However, I love it here! The people are friendly, there is lots to see, the scenery is beautiful (both summer and winter, which is great for my photography hobby) the traffic isn’t bad, it isn’t too crowded, etc. After I finish my college studies I want nothing more than to stay here and work!

Nice city where you could rest

One of the few cities I can think of I don’t really like. I don’t mind coming down from Freddy Town for the day and stuff to bring my gf shopping and stuff, but its amazing over 100,000+ people appearently live in this boring, charmless town. Nothing to see for tourists either.

Only in Saint John….
I was on the bus, and I overheard (as did everyone else on the bus) this 40-ish women yelling into her phone (phone etiquette???) about how she had webbed toes so she always had to buy shoes one size larger so her toes didn’t feel ‘squished’. eew.
Some days I can’t believe I’m spending a year of my life here :)

well what can i say…i live about 30 min form saint john…and well it is the place where i have the most fun at ..cause it is the closest city to my home, plus you will find the most interesting people there..like me..haha, but you’ll have fun none the less.

Saint John is really interesting. I don’t think it realizes just how interesting it is. First of all, it’s entirely without any attractions that would draw crowds of tourists, therefore you pretty much get it all to yourself. It’s like some foggy old 19th century town in northern England. But less charming. In fact, there’s nothing charming about Saint John, but that’s why it’s fascinating. There’s no bullshit about SJNB.

Has the best looking men in the entire world :P

They moved there after being expelled from the US after the Revolutionary War. They supported the losing side (King George III).

Go in the summer – the winter is dreadful and very depressing. Very slow paced, beautiful town by the sea full of friendly people and cheap drinks. Will probably never return, however.
