I loved my 3 night stay in Hua Hin. The train trip down from Bangkok was amusing as we were the only white chicks in 3rd class and the source of much rubber necking ! Lol ! :)
It was just so relaxed and just hanging out and wandering around the markets was heaps of fun.
I sat on the balcony one afternoon daydreaming of what it would be like to live there and almost could see myself riding a scooter to work teaching English and living in a little apartment.

Having a dear friend here is the best reason to visit again for me. The last time i visited the sky was so hazy, giving a dream like feel as i sat around in the shade.
I took a walk in the main area to the seaside and saw the backyard of the hilton … very strange… it felt so much like a zoo exibit. I was waiting for the voice-over explaining all about why so many people sat on deckchairs on the grass of the hilton backyard overlooking the beach.
There was a paradox where the water looked so inviting but hardly anybody was swimming. The water looked safe and clean. I didn’t feel much like swimming there too.over 7 years ago
Made a very big mistake by going to Hua Hin. Maybe it was just the wrong time to go (January). Travelled by train from Bangkok which was a very slow and tedious journey. Hotel was atrocious and all others booked out. Stayed overnight and caught next bus back to Bangkok. Bus trip was much better than train trip. Hua Hin beach was wall to wall with fat, ‘orange’ coloured bodies that had been laying in the sun for far too long. I guess we are spoiled in Oz with miles and miles of beautiful beaches without too many people to overrun them. Went to Koh Chang and loved it.over 7 years ago
