Rogers Centre aka: SkyDome

My first baseball match! Watching the Bluejays beat the Yankies in summer 2006 was super. The sliding roof closed in time to keep the rain off too!

I’m actually posting from the Renaissance Hotel located in Rogers Centre. We bought the rooms through Hotwire.com, and ended up with a full suite for an absolutely terrific price. We went to the Tigers/Jays game tonight, and I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone going to a game. I loved the stadium, too. I’d never been in a domed baseball stadium before, and it was much better than freezing in the Detroit April weather. I’ve love to come back!

I have only ever been here for blue jays games. Great place to see a GREAT baseball team!

If you grew up in the late 80s/early 90s (like me!), then you’ll know it better by its real name…the Skydome. None of this “Rogers Center” business. Pfft!!! How can we easily forget Domer (I loved that turtle)?!?!

What’s next, Pluto isn’t a planet…err.

First and only baseball game I’ve seen live, well worth the visit. As well as being a sport that I can actually stand watching, it’s a far better stadium than any I’ve been to back in England.
