My brother in law, EW, took me to watch the Clippers play the Suns in early 2006.

Lakers in ‘07!

I’ve been to the Staples Center several times to watch the Lakers and Clippers play. A couple of years ago, the Staples Center aired a Lakers playoff game against the Kings on their big screens inside (it wasn’t a home game). People still bought tickets to watch it inside. My cousin and I were in the area and we were going to just watch it outside (there is also a big screen outside). While I was sitting outside, a lady came over to me and asked me if I had tickets. I told her that we didn’t and she gave me some extra tickets that she had, so we got in for free.

Before going inside, I wasn’t expecting it to be exciting since it was just going to be aired on the big screens. I thought wrong though because it was very exciting! All of the fans were sooo loud because it was a good and close game. Everyone in the Staples Center was doing the wave and it lasted for a pretty long time. It started to feel just like a real home game! I really like sharing the excitement with others! The Lakers ended up winning that game…all of the fans exited the Staples Center celebrating. There was a bunch of police officers outside making sure that riots didn’t start. People were celebrating in traffic too (honking, running around, dancing, etc.).

Great place to watch a hockey game, but ticket prices were quite high.
