The first time I went to this place

I was in Princeton on a business trip and decided to visit the PEAR Lab while I was there. I had heard about the lab years before and was excited to see it. Unfortunately, the people running the lab had decided to shut it down after 28 years. When I arrived, all work had ceased and they were packing up books and equipment.

Even though they were very busy, the lab manager, Brenda Dunne, very kindly spent quite a while showing my wife and me a few of the larger experimental setups that had yet to be dismantled. It was a very interesting place, and it’s unfortunate that others won’t be able to see it.

Still, it’s kind of neat to likely have been the last visitors.
