Worth visiting!
Widecombe is best known for the song ‘Widecombe Fair’ about a mare that carried a ridiculous number of people, died and has haunted the area ever since.
However it ought to be noted for its amazingly large church, sometimes called the Cathedral of the Moor and its 2 old pubs. The one called the Old Inn was known as the New Inn when I was last there (is somebody trying to tell me something?) The other you will have to find!
