Sioux City

Coming from a small town in north-eastern South Dakota, Sioux City is a nice blend of small-town atmosphere and city life. You’ve heard the saying “Great place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there”? Sioux City is kind of the opposite. Maybe it’s not the most exciting place around here to go, but it’s got its moments and it’s a great place to live. You can see a band any weekend you want at Rhonda’s Speakeasy.

There is this movie where this young rabble rouser says her name is ‘Sue with an X’. I thought it was funny. It took me eight years to figure it out. Corny, huh? Eerie? Maybe she had a stalker.

I have a lot of family in the area so I always enjoyed visiting. We mostly used the city as a jumping off point for day trips to near-by cities like Omaha.

It might have just been the area I was in, but there was nothing to do. A rather boring place to me…. Oh well, good luck to you if you go some time.

Been here twice, weeks at a time (for business), unfortunately. This is my least favorite place on earth.
