I can never walk out
of here without buying something. So I don’t try to go to often!

A review of this place
Downtown Toronto’s answer to Tokyo’s miniature, collectible, boxed toys. You never know which one you’re going to get. But I find the amount of inventory really low. If you want miniature figurines from bubble machines, go to Pacific Mall.

The last time I went to this place
my 3 year old daughter wanted to buy a toy. She was attracted to the slighty creepy big-eyed Blythe dolls. “I want this one Dada,” she said, tapping on the rectangular plastic cover of a doll lower down on the shelf. I quietly checked the sticker delicately placed on the bottom of the package: $600.00. “Maybe we’ll buy something for you a different day,” I said. “Today we’re just looking…”

Magic Pony is great...
If artists like Takashi Murakami and Nathan Jurevicius make you happy, then this is the place for you. A gallery and a shop, it’s got a solid selection of art and toys, plus a friendly staff. It’s definitely worth seeing. www.magic-pony.com
