I’ve been geocaching and mountain-biking here, and also shot a roll of film here. Actually, it was my last roll of film, before going digital.

I used to walk in this cemetery often, and even lived across the street from it for a while. Don’t let the “new” section of the cemetery which is most visible from the street fool you. Behind the new section is the “old” section of the cemetery, the oldest public cemetery in the United States still in use. The old section dates from the time when people would ride their carriages into the cemetery, have a picnic, let the kids play, and clean up the family plot. It is filled to the gills with old gravesites, and is peaceful, scenic and lovely any time of year. Go in the late autumn for a Poe-like experience, slip under the fence on a summer night to chase after lightning bugs.
