E3 aka: Electronic Entertainment Expo

In 2004 I won a contest at the Game Spot web site. A 3 day expense paid trip to attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo in L.A.
It was a blast!

Don’t be afraid to chat up a stranger and likewise be friendly to people you meet.

Going back though year after year is the same exact experience. It’s probably one of the best trade shows you could ever go to, but if you’re just going to have fun, it becomes the same thing year after year. Think of it this way. If you can stand going to Disneyland more than once a year, you’ll probably enjoy repeat visits.

Think of it more as a magically place that pops up in the middle of LA once a year, like some mythical fairytale wonderland, except replace the fairies and gnomes with booth babes and Gary Coleman.
