Found it a snore by Swillett

I worked on a cruise ship that stopped here often. Honestly, I found it kind of boring. There’s a decent beach behind the casino if you take the taxi ride into town. I usually used this day in port to catch up on sleep or tan on the deck.

Family vacation by doberla18

Went here every year for a few weeks during the summer months when I was growing up. Loved it! Amazing snorkeling on your own and if UNESCO (I think thats the name) is still there, they are best to dive with. They had a shark dive my brothers went on and they had dolphin swims. Also, every year in August this island used to have the BASRA race – its about 2 miles of ocean swimming and then events throughout the day. NOt sure if they are still doing this, but it was great and my brothers and I swam in it several times (we were swimmers). I love this island and can’t wait to go back one day.

Freeport with my Family by 43goldenthings

I usually travel with my family. Freeport was our first international trip. The frist time we went was a good time, our accomodations were a little cramped but we still had fun hanging with a local family. The pool was tiny, but we didn’t know it then so it was great for us. We over packed and while that slowed us up at the airport we enjoyed Freeport so much that we went back the next summer and even bought a timeshare there! The next summer we packed lighter (A LOT lighter!) and spent our first time at the MUCHNICER timeshare resort (this would be when we realized how small the previous pool was). We had a ball…. We haven’t been back in a while (using our timeshare weeks to explore more of the world) but we certainly have good memories of Freeport.

Maybe it was because we didn’t pay for an excursion, but other than the trashy little locals bar we found to hang out at, there was nothing pleasant at all about Freeport.
