Lots of cool. Lots of lame. by sipes23

I really don’t care about some of the memorabilia. Though some was cool (e.g. the Jimi Hendrix stuff). Your killer record collection just doesn’t cut it.

That said, the part tracing the origins of rock and roll is great. There could have been a few more listening booths, but that’s just me.

Oh, and to the kid who didn’t understand why there was a big exhibit about Les Paul: yes, he’s that important.

Amazing. by carlycarlz828

I never knew how much great old music I was missing out on until I came here. I went with my family because my parents went to see the Bruce Springsteen exhibit (my mom and dad are HUGE boss fans)and I loved it. My favorite things were a toss up between Jimi Hendrix’s wacky outfits, ZZ Top’s fuzzy drums, and I liked those drawings Jim Morrison made as a youth. They were cool. The only thing my kid brother seemed to like was the Pink Floyd “The Wall” stuff. Basically, come here if you haven’t it’s one of my favorite places in the world.

musicians get in free! by Janevie

Did you know that? Bring a CD with your name on it (even if you’re just a backing musician) and they’ll waive the fee. My beau got in when we showed the staff his myspace page! Awesome!
