Cost of living is cheaper than other areas of Florida, but not the country. There have been new housing developments and housing prices have skyrocketed. I myself own a condo in Melbourne (Viera). I would go back, because the town itself is situated in a very opportune location. Everything you need is within driving distance, and Orlando is less than an hour away which satisfy all your wants. over 6 years agoUntitled by MicahThere are definitely a few nice things about this town, and it certainly beats the surrounding locales (Palm Bay, anyone?), but I don’t know if it’s done enough to merit itself as a destination for those outside of the area. If you’re in town, drop by the cafes, like the Sun Cafe, and hit up the beach and the pizzeria by it.
