Magnetic Island

I’ve been to Magnetic Island twice. It’s one of my favorite places anywhere. I love all the bays that have such beautiful beaches, yet each is unique. One has a reasonable sized town, one only a few buildings, one has great snorkelkng and one has a very relaxed nude beach.

A pub, a store by the beach front, a youth hostel, and not much more except for beautiful beaches. It was very quite and laid back, at least in 1987 when I was there last time. Anyway, well worth a visit.

Went for a weekend with the family, it was awesome! And then went again for school camp. That was pretty good too. Loved the beach!

Although recently there has been lots of large scale developments on the Island there probably is still the feel of tranquility and nice community spirit.
