Worth visiting!

I helped rebuild in the Vietnamese area in Biloxi in 2006 for an alternative Spring Break. The people were friendly and I have the utmost respect for them. I want to go back and help, but unfortunately I can’t afford it right now.

Worth visiting!

I visited Biloxi often as I grew up in Mobile and travelled the short distance for the casinos and especially the food and shows. I loved the Beau Rivage when it first opened. Since then I’ve brought friends from Illinois to visit Treasure Bay. They were really into pirates so it was a perfect fit. We had a great time and were incredibly sad when the Hurricane moved in and did so much damage. Our visit had been only a couple of months before. This is definitely a place I would return as it is so close to home and has so many memories for me.

Worth visiting!

Took a group of college students down for a week of building. Loved the people, the beach, the food, and the experience. Great times – and there will be a great community soon!

i love it here.
i would recommend it to anyone,
don’t be fooled, the beaches are not swimable, at least most aren’t.
it’s way hot, but sustainable, since everywhere is air conditioned.
it’s beat up due to katrina, back in the day, before katrina it was beautiful.
the casinos are great with great entertainment
great inexpensive seafood
awesome people—most people are extremely wealthy; however, many are also dirt poor, everyone is nice and welcoming.

I had fun going on a shrimping boat here. That was before Katrina. Don’t know how many are there anymore.

Worth visiting!

I visited Southern Miss a couple years ago. It was such a wonderful beautiful place. I can only hope someday it can be what it once was. The beaches are still there and we all need to work together to build the south back to what it once was….magnificient!

Not worth it!

i lived and worked here for three years before the storm, before that having lived in ocean springs when i was in highschool. it was good while it lasted. everyone i knew lived and worked around the area of the mall or just inside of gulfport, and we all had a grand time, drinking forties and being generally corrupt and decadant. only a few stayed after the storm, and most of us moved to mobile alabama and took over hillsdale!

i hated living in proximity to and working at the mall(especially the idiot mall rat kids, but they did thin themselves out by robotripping and jumping in front of trains), but i’m ultimately nostalgic for the past spent there. coast con 07, it’s time to re-represent, nerdz.
