Restaurant Grenada (up the side street opposite McDonalds (!) and the square just by the bridge served lovely food.

We were the only non-Spaniards in there and the place was totally full.

There were loads of tourist food places in the town where the food didn’t look especially good. We went in on a hunch and it paid off handsomely.

They specialise in Paella and other Spanish dishes – Mushroom Paella was great (and vegetarian).

The bandoleros museum is small, and quite odd. They have the scariest looking mannequins I’ve ever seen! If you are in Ronda go for the weekend to El Refugio hostel in Cartajima. Gorgeous location; friendly staff.

my mother’s name is Ronda, and so when her doctor found out how she spelled it he told her that there is a town in spain with that name spelled the same way. so she’s determined that she’s gonna go on her 50th b-dyand so I might as well go with her.
