A tip I have about this place
The bandoleros museum is small, and quite odd. They have the scariest looking mannequins I’ve ever seen! If you are in Ronda go for the weekend to El Refugio hostel in Cartajima. Gorgeous location; friendly staff.

Why I want to go to this place
my mother’s name is Ronda, and so when her doctor found out how she spelled it he told her that there is a town in spain with that name spelled the same way. so she’s determined that she’s gonna go on her 50th b-dyand so I might as well go with her.

Ronda is a city in the Spanish province of Malaga. It is located about 100 km from the city of Málaga, within the autonomous community of Andalusia. Its population is 35,512. It is also accessible by rail from Algeciras and from Córdoba.

This little town high in the Serranía de Ronda Mountains (698m/2,300 ft. above sea level) is one of the oldest and most aristocratic places in Spain. Ronda's near impregnable position kept the Catholic troops at bay until 1485. The main attraction is a deep gorge, spanned by three bridges over the Guadelevín River. On both sides of this hole in the earth are houses clinging to the cliff that look as though they might plunge into the chasm at the slightest push. Ronda is an incredible sight. The town and the surrounding mountains were legendary hideouts for bandits and smugglers, but today the Guardia Civil has just about put an end to that. The gorge divides the town into an older part, the Moorish and aristocratic quarter, and the newer section south of the gorge, built principally after the Reconquest.
