Mondsee

This is a truly beautiful town – in summer they have water slides and diving boards in the lake. The Sound Of Music wedding was filmed in the church.

In Mondsee there is a yellow church that was used in the filming of the Sound of Music. If you enter the church and look back above the front doorway you see a balcony. This is here the nuns stood in the wedding scene :) It’s a nice small town. My daughters bought some tennis shoes in one of the shoe stores here in Aug.

I went to the rauchhaus, but it was closed during autumn. Also went to mondsee cathedral, which was used in sound of music.

There are lots of other beautyful lakes in the area as well. Definitely worth going there.
