Beachy Head

I went over the weekend, and loved it. The sun was setting, it was beautiful. I wasn’t expecting it to be so filled with tourists though! xxx

I’m driving up to London this weekend, I’m thinking of making a detour and going here. I think it’ll be great to walk on these cliffs. xxx

Apparently the third most common suicide spot in the world, after the Golden Gate Bridge and somewhere in Japan. It’s so bad that taxi drivers in the area have code words to say over their radios to call the police if they think that someone’s going to jump. I wonder why this particular place is so popular for this.

I read an article recently about a man who’d just lost his wife to suicide. She’d jumped from Beachy Head. He went there at 5 in the morning a few weeks afterwards cos he couldn’t sleep and wanted to feel he was near her. A woman was there writing a note and crying. He stopped her from jumping.

Anyway, I’m going for the sea views. xxx
