Metro Toronto Zoo

It’s so big and with so many animals you can’t go wrong. This is a must if you are in Toronto.

We have a family membership so I take my three-and-a-half-year-old son several times a month. We love it there! There is far too much to see in one visit, so we rotate what we see and can go four or five times without seeing many of the same things. I can’t wait for the truly hot weather to go to the splash pad!

In high school the art classes went ther every year to do drawings of the animals. A couple of friends and I scammed our way onto the bus one year and spent the day free of charge and since we were not in art that year we didn’t have to do any work.

The layout of the zoo is to put animals from the same place in the same area.

The zoo is far from downtown.

i really wanna go to the zoo…it’s been a while since i went! been buggin my boyfriend to go with me :) i just wanna see monkeys and tigers and elephants and more monkeys!!!

poor animals don’t need to be in cages, do they?

I went to the zoo today. It was a long walk. I was there 4 hours, and only saw 3/4s of the place. There were plenty of animals to see, but I wondered…if an animal has no mate, how long will we have the animals around? The zoo is laid out like a map. Animals from the same parts of the world are grouped together.

Bring a mister/pump bottle, waterbottle & a hat.

Misting helps: oh god, its hot in the Summer… & getting wicked ‘corporatized’. Don’t know which is most mind-numbingly exhausting.

I wish they’d stop being so ‘PC’ about everything.
