It’s been a while since I’ve been to Jamaica, maybe 10 years or so but it’s still memorable. I spent 10 days in Montego Bay at an all inclusive resort. I also traveled to Ocho Rios and climbed the falls. Good times – beautiful country. :)

when flying into the airport, be prepared for a VERY long wait in customs.. the lines were long.. and they had to open & search every bag we had!! leaving took a long time as well!

Fellas- if you are traveling with friends that happen to be girls- and I MEAN this- WATCHOUTFORTHEM! Montego Bay’s hip strip is ROUGH at night. We had people in our group from Detroit, Michigan who couldn’t believe how rough Jamaica got at night.. even they left in a hurry. Be careful, but enjoy Montego Bay. It’s beauitiful.

The more rural parts of Jamaica are pretty peaceful in comparison. Also, watch vendors who don’t have prices listed and restaurants that do the same. Always be ready to negotiate with vendors- and be careful about street vendors, because the food they make isn’t always cooked properly.
