Worth visiting!

A review of this place: The Garden Tomb

This is thought by some to be the location of the burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s certainly a much, much more beautiful, reflective, and inspiring place than the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which is another suggested site. This is in a large, beautiful, and serene garden where you can sit and pray or reflect.

Worth visiting!

A poem I wrote about my visit to the Garden Tomb

The Garden Tomb – My sacred place

As I look inside me and beyond my soul

thinking of the past and it wrenching toll

I try and think of where I would want to be

If I had one special place…yes just for me

would it be in the mountains I visited long ago

or here deep inside me that Id want to go

I think and think of what it could be

and then I see it in my mind with glee

I see a place of beauty and peace

a place of reverance and the meek

I see the garden and the tomb within which he lay

a place where Mary once did pray

I see my feelings of peace when I was there

and remember there wasnt a scare

I remember feeling the wind on my face

slightly blowing by his grace

The skull on the rock was a simple landmark to mankind

but to me it was going back in time

I remember thinking Im not worthy of this
place…this ground so sacred and true

this place where I realized there had to be you

who you were I did not know

but the feelings of peace only continued to grow

Was I wrong for doubting you

or was it there that in to me came the seed for you

Now I am not perfect to say the least

but you impacted me and gave me (if only for that moment)an inner peace

so its been asked of me where is my sacred place

and it is there I say without shameful discrace
