I love Pier 39. I first went to the Aquarium of tbe Bay. We became members so that we could visit it as often as we like. Later on, we decided to get a bite to eat. We got a seat in Chic’s which is the first restaurant on the left as you go in the pier. It’s upstairs. Luckily we also went at the right time, since the sun was about to set. The large picture windows made it easy to see the boat dock, the two lighthouses in the distance, Alcatraz Island, and then the Golden Gate Bridge all lit up. The sun’s light glowed along the top of the lapping water. It could have been romantic, except I had my son with me instead. I love that place now.
