Worth visiting!
Seriously, a great place to visit, but it’s not fun to be part of EVERYONE’S party, EVERY weekend.

Not worth it!
Its just not worth it. Its not a terribly nice place, and what it does have can be found elsewhere. Its chock full of loud, drunk 20somethings. If that’s your thing, you’ll probably like it. If its not, then dont waste your time.

driving along the street, adam’s morgan looked lively and exciting but it was disgustingly cold and windy so we ended up staying in madam’s organ (of adam’s morgan… ha, clever) the whole night. live band, singing jazzy blues. very fun. watch out for their long island ice tea’s, though. they hit hard. somewhere on I66, regurgitated alcohol was sprinkeld on the pavement.

This is a great place to live and play. Start at Tryst a great coffee, dessert and cocktail place and have dinner at The Reef or Bourbon. If you need find some fun furnishings try Pixies on 18th street.

I went to Adams Morgan when I was briefly in DC in August, on the recommendation of an old DCer (DCite? what are they called anyway?) at work, thanks Watani! Wow. I only spent a few hours in the middle of the night scouting it out, but there were so many cool places and so much going on, I couldn’t believe it. It easily outclassed anything in Seattle.
The big combination coffee-shop-and-bar affair, stuffed with couches, big easy chairs, tables, etc. was completely packed with people talking, reading, hacking, lounging around, etc. at midnight on Saturday. Nothing close in Seattle, must be a liquor law thing. If not, we need one. And a variety of cool bars, went to one with a weird medical theme and wound up in a fascinating conversation about film projects and various things. Also spotted all kinds of places that were I a DCer would be right on my Secret Date Weapon list.
Unfortunately, a planning oversight placed this very cool city where it is a hundred degrees, and unspeakably humid, in the middle of the freaking night. Humans should not have to live in a place where, wearing a thin shirt in the middle of the night, sweat pours down their back. It is a violation of my human rights. As soon as they get that sorted out I’m moving there.

I went during the evening and had some amazing food at a restaurant I can’t remember the name of. The bars are great too. Just an all around fun place to be for a night.
