Write an entry Entries about this placein the Navy by BanjoJoeI was in Yokosuka from 1986-1988 in the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Cochrane (DDG-21). Didn’t care much for Japan. over 7 years agoUntitled by wallflowerishI was born and raised in Yokosuka for 11 years. I hope to visit again someday :] I miss it so much! over 7 years agoLived in Yokosuka for 2 years by jdharris99Father was stationed on the USS Blueridge based at the Yokosuka Naval Base. A fantastic country to visit! Graduated from Kinnick High School in 1992. If you ever lived in Yokosuka or attended Kinnick High, give me a shout! over 7 years agoStay away from down town by noexitI lived just to the north within Yokohama city limits and worked in Yokosuka (not on the base). The JR Yokosuka station dumps you off in the middle of nowhere. If you want to go to Yokosuka, take the Keikyu line, and keep going south to the end of the line, then take the bus to the sea side park, or get off at Kurihama and take a look at the fist place Com. Perry landed on the quest to open Japan for trade. The main part of Yokosuka is dominated by the nearby US Navy base, and is kind of sleazy. over 7 years agoSee all 8 entries |
